📍 Where is the auction held?
The auction takes place the Metzler’s One Room Schoolhouse, 535 West Metzler Road, Ephrata, in Lancaster County, PA, hosted by the local Amish and Mennonite community on Saturday, May 16th, 2026. It is only a 30 minute drive from Lancaster City and 1.5 hours from Philadelphia. The Denver/Ephrata PA Turnpike exit is only 20 minutes away.
🕘 What time does it start?
The event begins in the morning around 9:00 AM with breakfast stands and continues through the afternoon. The live auctions, food stands, and children’s activities run throughout the day.
🍗 What food will be available?
You’ll find a wide variety of homemade specialties:
Chicken BBQ, pulled pork sandwiches, and fresh-cut fries
Whoopie pies, donuts, ice cream, and baked goods
Fresh produce, soft pretzels, and other Lancaster County favorites
Toasted cheeseburgers, fresh salads, and much more.
🎤 What is being auctioned?
The auction includes:
Quilts, handcrafted furniture, and woodworking pieces
Tools, equipment, and farm supplies
Gift baskets and experiences
Freshly baked goods and produce
Donated items from local businesses and individuals
You’ll find a wide variety of homemade specialties
🚗 Where do I park?
Free on-site parking is available in fields adjacent to the auction grounds at Metlzers Mennonite Church. Handicap parking available. Horse and buggy parking available at the Conestoga Old Order Mennonite Church a short walk away. Volunteers will help direct traffic.
👗 What should I wear?
Casual and comfortable clothing is best. The event is outdoors, so consider bringing a hat, sunscreen, or light jacket depending on the weather.
🪑 Do I need to bring anything?
Cash/checks/credit cards for purchases
A lawn chair if you’d like something other than a folding chair to sit on during the auction
Appetite for delicious food and plenty of community spirit!

Donations are always welcome. You can contribute items for auction, make a financial donation, or volunteer your time to help before, during, or after the event. You can also financially sponsor the auction.
